Write Winning Grants Workshop for Faculty - REGISTRATION IS NOW AVAILABLE!

Limited Submission Programs

Proposal Development is now home to Limited Submission program information.  Guidelines for how Limited Submission applications are handled at USU can be found here, along with the required Letter of Intent form if you are interested in applying to a Limited Submission program and a quarterly calendar of upcoming internal Limited Submission program review dates.  In addition, a full calendar of Limited Submission opportunities can be found here to aid in the planning of future applications. 

 


 

NSF's Merit Review Criteria - National Science Board Releases Report

The National Science Board (NSB) recently released a report on the National Science Foundation's merit review criteria.  This review was conducted to determine if the merit review criteria used by NSF to evaluate all proposals remains appropriate.  NSF reviews two criterion, intellectual merit and broader impacts, for every proposal the agency receives.  The NSB did not recommend changing the two criteria, but it did recommend that NSF better define the two criteria for the benefit of the science community.  The press release and a PDF of the full NSB report can be found here.
