Research Day Submission Form

Please identify which state senator and which state representative represents your parents, if they pay taxes in Utah, or you, if you are the taxpayer in Utah. Please use your parents first in order to help us with a more diverse geographic distribution.

Step 1: Visit http://le.utah.gov/
Step 2: With your cursor near Legislators (top left of page), click on Senate District Maps.
Step 3a: If you live in rural Utah, click on the active circled District number for you area.
Step 3b: If you live along the Wasatch Front click on the map in the vicinity of the Wasatch Front.
A new map will appear of the Wasatch Front, click on the active District number.
Step 4: A new map of your District will appear.
Step 5: Click on your District Number again.
Step 6: A new page will appear with the name of your State Senator.
Step 7: Please email me the name of your State Senator.
Step 8: Back out to http://le.utah.gov/
Step 9: With your cursor near Legislators click on House District Maps.
Step 10: Repeat Step 3a or 3b and Steps 4-7 to email me the name of your State Representative.

A note about abstracts. Please write so that an intelligent person, not necessarily an expert in the field, can understand your research. An abstract is a synopsis or summary of your research.

A common error in abstracts is the use of the term "data", which is plural, and requires a plural verb. For example: "The data were collected during a field study."

Please fill out this form to attend Research on Capitol Hill. We require a photo of you and your faculty mentor as individual headshots. If you don't have these, our office can take them.
