Student Showcase
What is Student Showcase?
An annual symposium to showcase outstanding work done by students on research, scholarly, and creative projects. The program may include oral presentations, poster sessions, exhibitions, and recitals. It is a part of Undergraduate Research Month, a culminating event of the academic year.
Who may participate?
Any student may participate. A faculty sponsor or mentor is required. Honors students may find this an excellent venue to present their senior theses/projects, and students who have received URCO grants may report on the results of their projects. Students may share their creative works through the Creative Writing Contest, which features a reading of the winners' work. Contact: Marina Hall, Department of English, 797-3858, mhall@english.usu.edu
When is the Student Showcase?
Student Showcase is scheduled during Research Week, generally the first week of April. The specific date for each year is listed on the Undergraduate Research Calendar. The venue will be the Taggart Student Center. Posters are set up in the International Lounge, organized by discipline. Papers are presented in the three Colony rooms.
Abstracts are published in a program and are due March 2.
