Undergraduate Research Faculty Mentor of the Year 

Jared Hansen is an associate professor of marketing in the Department of Marketing and Strategy. Dr. Hansen has a relentless passion for mentoring his students, from advising student groups to admittance into graduate programs, and with career placement. 

Upon joining the Marketing and Strategy Department, he sought ways of helping students realize their academic potential. He found that students were interested in academic research and that the department lacked a program for them. As a result, Dr. Hansen created a mentoring program that assisted students with academic conferences, competitions, and publications.
