Activity with certain entities may disqualify you from federal funding eligibility: Check results will also tell you how different U.S. agencies would view your involvement with the entity. For additional information, also refer to the NSF SECURE Center's Risk Matrix Reference Guide.

What is a collaborator?

A broad term that can include co-authors, co-investigators, advisors/advisees on a research project, visitors, student employees, or any other person with whom you have a relationship in a professional scholarly setting.

What is research travel?

Any research-related travel that involves collaboration with, or sponsorship by, any particular institution, like a conference, talk, or sabbatical.
