Presidential Doctoral Research Fellowship positions are allocated to each college proportionally for the number of doctoral students they house. Departments with an available position will nominate their top candidate to the Office of Research in the spring before the starting semester for that position. Prospective students can see available fellowships below and are encouraged to talk about this opportunity with the department early in their application process to be considered.
The College of Agriculture has elected to allocate their fellowship positions through an internal selection process. The following departments are eligible to nominate prospective PhD students for the PDRF program:
Animal, Dairy and Veterinary Sciences
Landscape Architecture & Environmental Planning
Nutrition, Dietetics & Food Sciences
Plants, Soils & Climate
School of Applied Sciences, Technology & Education
School of Veterinary Science

College of Humanities and Social Sciences
The College of Humanities & Social Sciences does not have any open positions for Fall 2020.
In future years, positions will open back up, and will include PhD programs in the following departments:
Sociology, Social Work, and Anthropology
