Book a consultation with a Human Research Protections expert to discuss IRB oversight of your project. Our staff love the opportunity to provide one-on-one assistance.

To ensure the most efficient use of everyone’s time, please note that there are certain items we can’t resolve with these meetings:

• Whether a project requires submission to the IRB, or whether it is Non Human Subjects Research (NHSR). Visit our Do I Need IRB Review? page to learn how to obtain a determination about whether your project requires IRB oversight.
• Kuali access. For assistance with this, please contact Kuali Systems Administrator Dan Perry.
• How to locate a faculty PI for a project. The Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Research has a program designed to match students with faculty who share their research interests.
• Status of a Reliance Agreement. USU sends Reliance Agreements to other institutions within 5 business days of receipt of a full request. Status updates on those sent requests should be directed to the other institution’s IRB or Human Research Protection Program.
