Named after the first vice president for research at Utah State University, the D. Wynne Thorne Career Research Award is given annually to an individual who has completed outstanding research in their career.
It is the most prestigious faculty recognition awarded by USU. The following spring, the recipient is given the opportunity to speak at a lecture event during Research Week.
