Growing up in a farm family from the Haryana state of India, Naveen says he has always had a curiosity for crop improvement. As a lecturer in Bioinformatics at Guru Nanak Girls College Ludhiana, India, Naveen’s passion for teaching and research further led him to want to improve his skills in a Ph.D. program at Utah State University. Naveen is proud to say he has friends from many different cultures and is interested in life's diversity. Being the president of the Indian student association at Utah State University, he has organized and celebrated multiple Indian festivals.
