Dongyun Han is a Ph.D. candidate in the Computer Science Department at Utah State University. His research focuses on the design, development, and evaluation of data visualization and immersive environment systems, emphasizing how the exponential growth of data provides transformative insights across both specialized domains and everyday life. Data visualization extends beyond mere graphical representation; it is a powerful tool for transforming data into meaningful Insights. Immersive technologies have the potential to enhance human cognitive abilities, enabling more effective data analysis beyond the limitations of traditional desktop environments. He aims to empower users to interact effectively with data, enhancing sensemaking and decision-making processes. He received his Master and Bachelor’s degree in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering from Ulsan National Institute of Science & Technology (UNIST) in South Korea.
