Alicia Ingersoll

Alicia Ingersoll is a Sociology Ph.D. student at Utah State University. She received her M.B.A. from the Gore School of Business at Westminster College and her B.S. from the University of Utah with a major in Political Science. Prior to enrolling at Utah State, Alicia spent many years working within the outdoor industry in supply chain management.

As an economic and organizational sociologist, Alicia’s research examines the connections between corporations and society with specific focus on gender, leadership and sustainability. Since arriving at USU in 2015, she has published two journal articles, two book chapters and has four articles currently under review. Her dissertation research examines the role of gender and social networks in facilitating board of director appointments. Most recently, her work has been published in the Journal of Business Ethics and Business, Strategy and the Environment.
