Emily M. Lund is a fourth-year student in the Disability Disciplines PhD program in the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation at Utah State University, where she is specializing in both special education and rehabilitation counseling.

She holds a bachelor’s degrees in psychology and social work from the University of Montana and a master’s degree in educational psychology from Texas A&M University. Her primary research interests involve interpersonal violence, trauma, and bullying, especially in people with disabilities, and suicide and non-suicidal self-injury, particularly as it relates to trauma and disability. Additionally, she also conducts research on the experiences of psychology graduate students with disabilities and the ways in which training programs can better accommodate these students.

She has received grant funding from the American Psychological Foundation, the Utah Personnel Development Center, the USU Center for Women and Gender, and the University of Montana Mansfield Center to assist with her research on improving the safety and well-being of people with disabilities across the lifespan. She has also given numerous national and international presentations on topics related to her research and has had her work featured in media and trade publications. She is a person with a physical disability.
