Sun Jeon is currently a Presidential Doctoral Research Fellow at Utah State University. Her research interests center on the social determinants of health, and the application of statistical and quantitative methodologies to understand them. In particular, her work to date has focused on understanding demographic contributors to health outcomes such as suicide, mental health, and obesity. From a methodological perspective, she is interested in multivariate models, statistical machine learning, and age-period-cohort (APC) models. On her free time, she loves to go backpacking, snowboarding, and camping. She also runs a blog named “흐린 맑음” in Korean (meaning “sunny days are meant to come after rain”), where she writes about her life and academic journey as a graduate student in the U.S.
