Courtney Flint joined USU faculty in 2013 after eight years at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a co-PI on USU’s National Science Foundation-funded interdisciplinary graduate training program on climate adaptation, and her research on wellbeing in the Wasatch Mountain region is tied to her involvement in international efforts to develop a global network of mountain observatories. She is currently the only sociologist on the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Board of Scientific Counselors, where she advises the EPA on the integration of social science in environmental and health sciences.
