As an undergrad, Amanda’s excitement for research landed her a CRISPR R&D internship in the USU Cellular Engineering Lab. Her work in research allowed her to receive the College of Engineering Undergraduate Researcher of the Year Award. Amanda’s work ethic and achievements led her to become the lead student researcher on other USU research projects and be a critical collaborator with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory to discover key micro algae and Cyanobacteria inRABR biofilms.
