Emmanuel Roque began his journey with the violin. Later picking up the guitar at the age of ten. Roque graduated from the Popular Music Department at the Santo Domingo Conservatory (2018), where he also studied classical guitar under the guidance of Professor Rubén González. At the Conservatory, Roque was selected by Berklee to participate in three of their programs in Santo Domingo, eventually earning a scholarship to attend the Guitar Sessions summer program in Boston (2016). His academic pursuit of music continued at UNPHU, acquiring a bachelor's degree in Composition, Arrangement, and Production (2021). He also expanded his musical education by studying at the HfMT in Hamburg, as part of an exchange program through UNPHU and the DAAD (2018–2019). Early Music has become a keen interest Roque has developed. Pursuing this passion at the Fundación de la Villa de Santo Domingo (2022–2023), he studied the lute, theorbo, and Baroque guitar under esteemed mentors Cameron Welke and Richard Stone. Throughout his career, Roque has had the privilege of performing with celebrated artists, such as Jose Antonio Molina, Johnny Ventura, Maridalia Hernández, Niní Cáfaro, Allain Mallet. Roque is currently a Guitar Performance Master student under the mentorship of Professor Corey Christiansen, at USU, where he performs as a TA.
