Lauren Houstoun Craige
College of Science
Biology
In summary, Lauren has been an exemplary master’s student, pursuing a complex and multifaceted research program that has combined fieldwork with diverse laboratory methods. Lauren’s research has yielded novel and unexpected results, and her presentations at conferences have generated great interest. Lauren will be completing her MS degree in Spring 2025, and she plans to continue her research on slug-eating snakes for her doctoral studies, expanding her project to compare the North American species with independently evolved mollusk-eaters in South America, Africa, and tropical Asia. I feel very fortunate to have had such an enthusiastic and skilled researcher as a member of my lab, and I offer my strongest possible support for Lauren’s nomination as MS Researcher of the Year. - Dr. Al Savitzky
