Evin Brown Daines is a second-year student in the School Counselor Education Program at Utah State University. Evin graduated cum laude with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2018.

During her undergraduate career, Evin was involved in multiple research studies which addressed the subjects of bullying among middle school students, resources for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and parent-child attachment. Evin has completed one research publication (Journal of Family Studies, 2019). Though her Master’s program does not require research experience, Evin is currently completing a research study on the effects of Applied Behavior Analysis on the siblings of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This topic addresses a large dearth in the current research on Autism Spectrum Disorder.

After graduating with her M.Ed., Evin plans to work as a school counselor before applying for a Ph.D. program in Educational Leadership where she will continue research. Evin grew up in Cache Valley and gained her passion for education as she watched her father work diligently to help students graduate as a resource teacher at Logan High School. Evin is wife to Bryan Daines and mother to Clarin Daines. In her spare time, Evin enjoys spending time with her family and cat, Lola.
