Dr. Renee Bryce is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Utah State University, where she performs research on strategies for software testing. Dr. Bryce is a recipient of the Arizona State Commission on the Status of Women Award (2006) as well as the ASU Women in Science Outstanding Advisor and Mentor Award. Her current research in software testing is funded by grants from the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Forest Service, as well as from the NIST and the CRA-W. In recent years, she has worked with seven undergraduate students on her CRA-W grants, and is currently working with two seniors on her U.S. Forest Service project investigating software test suite prioritization. This summer, Dr. Bryce will be working with eight undergraduate researchers for her REU grant entitled Bug Wars, in which students use a competitive approach to research, a method that her panel review at NSF considers a model for future REU sites across the U.S.
