Alexander Romney

Alexander C. Romney is an Assistant Professor in the Marketing and Strategy Department of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah StateUniversity. His research is focused on four main areas: employee voice, the meaning of work, leadership, and teaming. He is especially interested in how employees learn, grow, and develop personally through their work experiences. Dr. Romney is currently engaged in research that investigates how leaders inspire their employees, how artificial intelligence affects managerial decision making, and how employee voice can improve important organizational outcomes. Dr. Romney’s research has been published in Organization Science, Human Relations the Journal of ExperimentalPsychology: Applied, Business Horizons, and Group Processes and Intergroup Relations. Dr. Romney earned his B.A. from Brigham Young University with University Honors and his Ph.D. in organizational behavior from the University of Utah. He worked as a research associate at the Harvard BusinessSchool and taught at the University of Utah prior to coming to the Huntsman School. He teaches courses on leadership and teams. His teaching is focused on helping students become leaders who contribute to the betterment of society.
