Haowen studies Music under the instruction of Dr. Cahill Smith. She has been the recipient of many awards from prestigious competitions held in the state and internationally. In 2020, she won the 1st prize of UMTA concerto competition and has been selected to participate in the Atlantic Music Festival. She also has had many recitals and concerts in Taiwan, and in the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall. In 2022, Haowen was invited to perform in events by Excellence in the Community and Gina Bachauer International Piano Foundation. She has also performed in masterclasses with many notable musicians such as Olga Kern, Gabriela Monteiro, Anderson & Roe, Boris Berman, Bernd Goetzke, Yaron Kohlberg, and others.
