Cassandra Dubose Corry

College of Engineering

Biological Engineering Department

Growing up, Cassandra loved to find answers and “whys” to everything she could see. When her older brother would get home from school, Cassandra would ask him questions about everything he had learned that day and he would devise math games for them to play together. As a young child, Cassandra spent some time in the hospital battling cancer, and as she got older, she started to look for ways to give back. In college, she started attending lab meetings for a disease modeling research group, and she fell in love with the research presented there. She got involved and learned a great deal from her professor and fellow graduate and undergraduate researchers. Eventually, she started her own project where she learned new skills, asked lots of questions, and found answers to problems. Cassandra has continued to learn and enjoys sharing her findings with anyone who will listen. When there is free time, Cassandra loves road biking, playing volleyball, doing triathlons, and going on adventures with her husband
