Easton McBeth is a junior in Computer Engineering at Utah State University, where he maintains a 3.94 GPA and studies on a full academic scholarship. His love for solving complex problems has led him to excel academically and contribute meaningfully to research and education. As an undergraduate research assistant mentoring under Dr. Zhen Zhang, Easton is working to enhance the efficiency of STAMINA, a probabilistic model-checking tool. His research focuses on developing and verifying a multi-threaded state exploration protocol to analyze infinite-state probabilistic models more efficiently, with potential applications in synthetic biology, system reliability, and probabilistic programming. Easton collaborates with a nationwide research team that is dedicated to the field of advancing probabilistic model checking. Easton's dedication to engineering excellence has earned him recognition as the "Outstanding Junior" in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department for the 2024-2025 school year and an Engineering Undergraduate Research Scholar grant. He also won first place in an IEEE competition for his work on a personal project. Beyond his academic pursuits, Easton tutors engineering students at the Engineering Tutor Center, participates on the USU Pickleball Team, and is fluent in Spanish, showcasing his commitment to growth, mentorship, and community impact.
