Michael Q. King is a senior majoring in Family, Consumer, and Human Development with a minor in Psychology. Mr. King intends to obtain a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and later pursue a PhD in a family-related field. While at Utah State, Mr. King has worked as an undergraduate researcher under the tutelage of Dr. Travis Dorsch in the USU Families in Sport Lab. In this role, Mr. King has contributed to three research manuscripts and has presented research at numerous local and regional conferences/symposia. At Utah State University, Mr. King is an active member of the Marriage and Family Therapy Student Association (MFTSA) and previously served on its council. Mr. King also gained valuable teaching and classroom experience as an undergraduate teaching fellow for two courses in the fall of 2014. Finally, Mr. King has been a volunteer at multiple events in an effort to provide potential students information about undergraduate research and Utah State University. Outside of academe, Mr. King has worked as a mentor within a residential treatment center working with adolescent males struggling with behavioral issues and drug addictions.
