Morgan Sanford

Morgan Sanford is a senior studying English and Spanish Teaching. She is an Undergraduate Research Fellow, Writing Fellow, and Honors Teaching Fellow. Morgan is this year’s president of the Rho Tau Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honors Society, and serves on the Honors Student Advisory Board and the English Teaching Advisory Board. She has presented research at the SCOLAS Conference in Campeche, Mexico, and will present research this spring at Research on Capitol Hill, the Utah Conference on Undergraduate Research, and the National Conference on Undergraduate Research. She is currently working on her Honors thesis, studying the role of letters in the novels of Thomas Hardy, and has received funding from the CHaSS Faculty-Student Summer Mentorship Grant to conduct research on Pablo Neruda in Chile this summer. Her research interests include Latin-American education in the United States, creative nonfiction writing, and nineteenth- and twentieth-century British literature. She plans to pursue a Master’s degree in English following her graduation.
