Joshua Ward is the oldest son of Timothy and Gina Ward and husband to Hannah Ward. He graduated in 2015 from Clearfield High School in Clearfield,UT, and served a religious mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Texas and New Mexico. He began studying at USU in 2017where both water and transportations systems captured his interest. His attraction to transportation and water systems grew while working on municipal engineering projects at Ogden City Engineering for three consecutive summers, especially during the 20th St Road Reconstruction project in 2020.Joshua currently conducts transportation research with Dr. Patrick Singleton, serves as an Undergraduate Teaching Fellow for the EngineeringHydrology course, and works as student manager of the USU Engineering Tutoring Center. He loves helping students and professors in the College ofEngineering. Joshua has presented research projects at USU student research symposiums, the 2020 Utah Conference of Undergraduate Research, and the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting in January 2021. In his free time, Joshua enjoys playing the clarinet, watching movies with his wife, reading intellectually stimulating books, viewing engineering videos on YouTube, and making life more efficient with cloud automations and dynamic spreadsheets.
