Apply for GRCO

Graduate Research and Creative Opportunity (GRCO) grants provide a $1,000 grant to support original research, scholarship, or creative work by USU graduate students with the guidance of a faculty member. Proposals include requests for funds to cover the costs of equipment, supplies, and project-related travel.

Eligibility

Full-time graduate students (as defined by the School of Graduate Studies Catalog) in good standing at Utah State University. This includes international students and non-US citizens.

Before You Apply

Before you apply, do you have the following documents ready to upload?

  • Project Timeline
  • Budget (using this template)
  • Curriculum Vita

In addition, make sure to confirm with your faculty mentor that they will provide us with a letter of support by June 21, 2024. We will be contacting your faculty mentor after the proposal is submitted; mentors may submit their letters via email to ur@usu.edu at any time prior to the deadline.

Incomplete GRCO proposals will not be reviewed and are not eligible for funding.

Applications open on June 1 and are due by 11:59pm on June 15 each year. Awards will be announced in August and funds disbursed during Fall semester.
