Apply for GRCO

Graduate Research and Creative Opportunity (GRCO) grants provide a $1,000 grant to support original research, scholarship, or creative work by USU graduate students with the guidance of a faculty member. Proposals include requests for funds to cover the costs of equipment, supplies, and project-related travel.

Eligibility: full-time graduate student at Utah State University; this includes international students and non-US citizens.

The grant is awarded to students only once per year. Interested students should check back for more information about the 2022 grant cycle in late spring.

To ask a question, contact the Graduate Studies Senator at gradsenator.ususa@usu.edu.

Before you apply, do you have the following documents ready to upload?

  • Proposal Narrative
  • Project Timeline
  • Budget
  • Curriculum Vita

Do not submit a GRCO proposal without these 4 documents being complete and finalized. It will not be reviewed!

In addition, make sure to confirm with your faculty mentor that they will provide us with a letter of support by July 7, 2021. We will be contacting your faculty mentor after the proposal is submitted with further instruction on submitting this letter.
