The Utah State University Safety Committee strives to promote a university-wide culture of safety where individuals are safe to work, learn, and visit by actively identifying, preventing, and correcting safety concerns.
The USU Safety Committee serves every academic and administrative department. It is comprised of representatives from the four standing safety committees, USU’s eight academic College Safety Committees, Student Services, Finance & Administration, and Public Safety.
We are committed to safety at USU.
- We focus on creating a safety culture.
- We provide necessary safeguards required to assure the safety and health of employees, students and the public.
- We strive to reduce worker risk and improve prevention of illness and injuries.
- All employees are required to comply with safety policy 337 and other safety guidelines.
- Failure to follow these policies will result in appropriate action.
The University subscribes to recognized standards for health, safety, and fire protection.
