Engaging Bodies and Minds in K-12 Education

While wearable technologies are rapidly becoming a part of our everyday lives, they have not yet found their way into the classroom. Dr. Victor Lee will discuss how wearable devices can go beyond individual health tracking and be used to introduce students to the complex world of data analysis. Drawing from examples of his own classroom-based research and design work done in partnership with Utah schools, Dr. Lee shows what students are capable of discovering and accomplishing with this newly emerging technology. His research models a technologically enhanced approach for the K-12 education system that has the potential to cultivate and develop a data-savvy populace and future workforce.
