Lauren Vander Werff

Biography

Lauren Vander Werff is the Environmental Team Lead at the Chevron Salt Lake Refinery. She has worked for Chevron for the past 14 years, most of which have been in air quality roles focused on environmental compliance, regulatory interpretation, and advocacy. Her career has taken her to New Mexico, Mississippi, and now Utah. She is very honored to be appointed to the Utah Air Quality Board as the fuels industry representative as of October 2026. Lauren's favorite thing to do at work is collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new compliance requirements or improve existing ones. Her favorite things outside of work are spending time with her family, being outdoors, and having a hot cup of chamomile tea before bed.
