Biography
Dr. Hailei Wang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Utah State University and Director of the Energy Technology Research & Innovation (eTRI) Lab. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University and brings extensive academic and industry experience in thermal sciences and energy systems. His research spans integrated and sustainable energy systems, advanced heat transfer, hydrogen and ammonia production and utilization, thermal energy storage, freeze desalination, nuclear and renewable energy, industrial decarbonization, and energy-system modeling and optimization. His research has received support from multiple U.S. Department of Energy programs as well as industry partners, and his work bridges fundamental thermal science with applied technologies designed to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs. He has published over 80 journal and conference papers, along with three granted patents and multiple patent applications.
