About Blue Plate ResearchA man presenting on a stage at a Blue Plate Research Event

Blue Plate Research is a health and well-being event series from Utah State University that brings together state and community decision-makers with premier USU researchers to explore the health challenges facing Utah. Each event is designed to make data-driven research accessible and meaningful to health advocates, statewide stakeholders, and the general public. The presentations provide tools and insights to address real issues affecting people's lives across Utah.

Events are held in-person at Gallivan Hall in downtown Salt Lake City and feature a live 30-minute presentation highlighting a USU researcher and their work, followed by a 30-minute Q&A session. Lunch is provided for all attendees who RSVP.

Blue Plate Research is the continuation of a proud tradition rooted in Sunrise Sessions, a highly successful quarterly research series co-hosted by Utah State University and Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah. Over more than 50 live events, Sunrise Sessions drew thousands of attendees across Salt Lake City. Blue Plate Research carries that partnership forward with a sharper, more focused direction on health and well-being content.
