Featured Technologies
The Crescent Cam
The Crescent Cam is a new take on camming devices for climbers. It gracefully combines the actions of releasing the cam from the climber's harness and placing the cam into a rock wall.
Green Antifungal and Antibacterial Amphiphilic Kanamycin - KI06 and KI07
USU researchers have designed a one-step, inexpensive synthesis of amphiphilic alkyl kanamycins (AKs) that uses all-natural components. The result is a new antifungal compound, KI07, which has in vitro activity against fungal pathogens.
A Transgenic Rodent Model with Dietary Niacin Controlled Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) (ANDY Mouse)
Transgenic Mouse Model with Tunable NAD+ Deficiency: NAD+ deficiency is a common factor of aging and a number of metabolic and neurodegenerative diseases. USU researchers have developed methods to create a mouse model with tunable and reversible NAD+ deficiency, creating the first practical mouse model of NAD+ metabolism.
