Evaluating at Student Research Symposium
Each year, doctoral students and faculty provide constructive evaluation of every student presenter at SRS. Students can review the rubric in advance of the event and use it as a guide to structure a strong research or creative presentation. Evaluators will have the opportunity to chat with students through live Zoom sessions or via the comments feature of our platform, and students are encouraged to check their presentations frequently to answer questions and illustrate their mastery of their materials. Afterwards, students will receive their scores within each rubric category as well as written feedback on their work.
Any PhD student or faculty can volunteer to serve as an evaluator by Wednesday, March 31. Volunteers can specify availability and capacity, and the entire process will take place online. Contact athena.dupont@usu.edu with any questions about evaluating at the Student Research Symposium!
