About Fall Student Research Symposium

The Fall Student Research Symposium is USU’s non-competitive celebration of undergraduate research and creative work. Held each December, students from every discipline share poster or oral presentations to the broader public.

Presenting at the Fall Student Research Symposium is a great way to practice before our larger Student Research Symposium held each spring or ahead of a professional conference or event. All presenters receive feedback from our graduate student and faculty evaluators, as well as a dedicated post of their presentation on our website that can be shared on CVs, professional social media profiles, or personal websites. FSRS is also a critical venue for students graduating in December to share capstone projects.

Faculty and instructors are welcome and encouraged to integrate FSRS into fall courses. There are resources available for a variety of involvement levels, from giving extra credit for attending portions of the event to requiring a course-specific oral or poster presentation.

If you're viewing the schedule on your phone, you'll need to request the desktop site (explainer for Safari and Chrome) or download the Airtable app (Apple, Google Play) for the full feature set.
