Student Research Symposium

The Student Research Symposium is Utah State University’s largest showcase of student research. SRS both celebrates student research and improves each student’s ability to communicate their research.

Each April during Research Week, SRS provides space and resources for more than 300 graduate and undergraduate presenters to share their research with peers, faculty evaluators and the campus community through experience, evaluation and training. Students present their work in short videos, posters, visual arts exhibitions, and performances and get feedback from evaluators on their work. The most highly rated presenters in each broad disciplinary category will be recognized in various digital formats after the symposium.

Event Dates

When: April 9-10, 2024
Where: The Merrill-Cazier Library

USU's 2024 Student Research Symposium is a blended event, with in-person presentation options as well as online components. All USU undergraduate and graduate students, including Statewide and online, are invited to share poster or oral presentations, performances, or art exhibitions throughout our two-day event.

Faculty and instructors are welcome and encouraged to integrate SRS into spring courses. There are resources available for a variety of involvement levels, from extra credit to attend portions of the event to a course-specific required oral or poster session. Event organizers are happy to assist you in scheduling your course into this event upon request.
