Kit Fox Camera Occupancy Survey, Emery County, Utah
Research Description
Dr. Sunshine Brosi’s Wildland Resources lab, run out of Price, Utah, is seeking 4 undergraduate students from Statewide campuses to assist in both field and remote research.
You’ll join undergraduate students researching kit fox (Vulpes macrotis) occupancy in Emery County, Utah in collaboration with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Projects include online review of game camera images (which can be completed by Statewide students at any location) and in-person game camera deployment and monitoring (which can be completed by Statewide students in Moab and/or Price). This project seeks to guide BLM management decisions related to this beautiful, rare, mesocarnivore.
Qualifications and Requirements
Statewide campus students of all majors and all levels of experience are welcome. Remote and field work are both available depending on your location (see above).
