Research Publication: Transforming Communities

USU Logan Campus | Publication Opportunity | Humanities and Social Sciences

The Transforming Communities Institute at Utah State University (USU) is pleased to announce the launch of Transforming Communities, a peer-reviewed, open-access journal. Transforming Communities aims to publish community-based research and practice knowledge on social problems, as well as innovative solutions and new advancements that address community challenges. This journal exists to be a resource for communities – professionals, leaders, residents, and scholars striving to improve quality of life.

The journal seeks new submissions from researchers, professional practitioners, community members, and students in any related field that contribute knowledge about current social problems, evidence-informed solutions, and/or meaningful change processes supporting community well-being. Publishing on a rolling basis, Transforming Communities welcomes a wide range of manuscript and multimedia submissions, including traditional research papers, literature reviews, policy briefs, case studies, short commentaries, infographics, and podcasts, among other submission types.

Open-access publishing is at the core of the journal’s mission to make evidence-driven work available to a broad audience without cost to authors or readers on the journal’s website. The journal uses an open peer review process managed by the Editorial Team to evaluate new submissions. To that end, Transforming Communities also seeks peer reviewers with expertise in diverse fields conducting community-engaged research and practice.

For more information on submitting manuscripts and multimedia works or to become a peer reviewer, please visit the Transforming Communities website. Please reach out to the Editorial Team with any questions at tcjournal@aggies.usu.edu.
