Find a Mentor
After you have learned the basic components of undergraduate research, the next step is to get directly involved. You can do this by getting in contact with different professors on campus and gaining a faculty mentor. Guidebook
The Office of Research has many resources to help you get started with undergraduate research here at Utah State University. Research is possible within every college and department. University Honors Program
University Honors and Undergraduate Research are a great pair — Honors challenges you to “Dare to Know,” and research is the ultimate adventure in the pursuit of knowledge. If you are an entering, continuing, or transfer student, you can apply to join the Honors community of dynamic, ambitious, and creative students who immerse themselves in a culture of critical thinking, independent research, interdisciplinary learning, and civic engagement. Honors supports students through advising, educational opportunities, social events, funding, and inclusion in a vibrant learning community. Twenty-five percent of Honors students study abroad!
