Student Spotlight: Rachael Gulbrandsen

Rachel Gulbrandsen is a sociology major at Utah State. Gulbrandsen said her research has enabled her to forge professional relationships as well as friendships with her professors.

Gulbrandsen said research has shaped her academic experience so much. It’s really pushed her in the direction she wants to take her career.

“When you have the freedom and independence to find what you’re interested in and become passionate about a project, it doesn’t feel like work,” she said. “It feels like you’re just learning and it’s really enjoyable.”
