EPA Fellowship Programs

The EPA offers fellowships for undergraduates researching in environmentally related fields of study.

NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program

NASA’s Aeronautics Mission Directorate is currently accepting scholarship applications from undergraduate and graduate students in aeronautics and related fields for the academic year beginning in fall.

All applicants must be U.S. citizens.

NASA Education Associates Program

The NASA Education Associates Program (EAP) offers students, post-docs and faculty the opportunity to work with scientists and engineers on NASA projects. The NASA EAP is a unique workforce development program that provides hands-on experience for participants in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and other academic disciplines. The NASA EAP is a year-round program and has a variety of time frames available.

Federally-sponsored STEM Opportunities for Undergraduate Students

The undergraduate STEM program was established to be the primary source for searching federally-sponsored opportunities for undergraduate students and undergraduate programs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) areas. These opportunities range from scholarships and research internships that undergraduate students can apply to directly to funding opportunities for academic institutions to establish innovative undergraduate training programs.

NASA Undergraduate Student Research Program (USRP)

The NASA Undergraduate Student Research Project, or USRP, offers internship opportunities for undergraduate science and engineering students at all 10 NASA centers and additional partner facilities. These mentor-guided internships provide hands-on, real-life, career-related experiences that challenge, inspire, and provide practical application that complements and expands upon students’ academic education.

NSF Specialized Information for Undergraduates

NSF undergraduate funding programs provide either direct (i.e., from NSF) or indirect (i.e., from an awardee institution) funding for students at this level or identify programs that focus on educational developments for this group such as curricula development, training or retention.
