Biography

Will Gold specializes in interdisciplinary policy design, research impact, and holistic sustainability. He has a proven track record of driving practical solutions to complex challenges, pioneering research communications and outreach at Swansea University's Reducing Industrial Carbon Emissions project and contributing to drafting Wales' first Agriculture Bill. Holding an MSc in Energy Systems Engineering from Cardiff University, his expertise spans clean energy, public policy, and technology transfer.

With nine years' experience as a lecturer and head of department, Will has a strong foundation in education, where he has driven curriculum development and student success. He also holds a PGCE from UCL and founded Blastproof Records, a platform that connected emerging musicians with industry professionals, reflecting an entrepreneurial approach to fostering innovation and collaboration.

Beyond academia, Will's leadership extends to operational roles in intelligence and reconnaissance with the British Army Reserve and as a search and rescue specialist with the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team.
