International Visitors: Register Before Your Visit
Before an international visitor visits USU, the Office of Research asks that they complete its International Visitors Form to provide information about themselves and their proposed visit using its International Visitors Form.
Changes in Your Work? Update Your Conflict of Interest Disclosure
In addition to filling out a COI disclosure upon hire and annually, researchers must submit a new COI disclosure to reflect new awards, financial interests, and any external funding, appointments, or activities.
Our Mission
To help Utah State University perform world-class research in an ethical and compliant way, the Research Integrity & Compliance Office (RIC) provides oversight, guidance, and support in the following areas:
Compliance Updates
- Pursuant to federal regulatory updates, USU has adopted Policy 4110 – Research Misconduct, and issued an updated Procedure for Addressing Allegations of Research Misconduct. Allegations of Research Misconduct received after January 1, 2026 will be reviewed under the new policy and procedure.
- USU researchers cannot use USU systems to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). For guidance on how to identify and consider projects that may involve CUI, USU PIs should review the CUI Guide for PIs.
- All outgoing international shipments must now go through USU’s Required International Shipment Review process. This process helps ensure outgoing materials meet U.S. export control laws. Please review our International Shipments webpage for more information.
