Carcinogens

Carcinogens are hazardous chemical substances that cause cancer. Material safety data sheets (MSDS) are a good resource to identify carcinogenic chemicals in the workplace and can provide valuable information on how to protect workers.

EH&S can sample to determine exposure levels to carcinogens in laboratories and other spaces where they are used. Training is available to help prevent unnecessary exposure to these substances.
