Radiological Waste (Unwanted Material)

Research is often made possible or enhanced by the use of radioisotopes. Some radiological waste generation is inevitable from manipulation of dispensable materials, expired sealed sources and defective X-Ray equipment. Such waste must be handled and disposed of according to state and federal regulations.
